Service top (6 stars) Unfortunately the price / performance ratio for the food is no longer right here. Prices have risen sharply in recent years and if you consider that cheap products are used here (iceberg lettuce, tasteless tomatoes and feta cheese, etc. paired with a ready-made or maximally pimped dressing), then the prices are now very excessive. Likewise the flatbreads. Half-round baked ready-made flatbreads for 12 euros? I can get a completely round handmade pizza at the Italian restaurant for less. With less surface and not quite comparable, but at least there is more work involved. Salads are good portions, but the prices of the products used at 13 euros are totally excessive. Therefore, I will probably not stop here and currently no longer bring them to go where everything is squeezed into a box for the same price. It's a shame, because the restaurant is very nice, quaint and the staff is extremely on the ball and friendly.

Very nice staff, were very hard working and friendly. The food was something different and tasted very good and was really full. We highly recommend it!

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for our table despite our reservations, but we were asked to go to the bar and were given drinks. The conditions were very friendly and responded to our requests. Since the restaurant is very small, the hygiene measures (in my opinion) could not really be followed. There were plexiglass partitions, but not on all sides, so we sat relatively close to another couple, whom we had to "push past" because it was very narrow. At least one could have avoided this situation by foregoing a few seats, which would hardly have been possible in this small restaurant. Still very recommendable: the flatbreads, which are more reminiscent of pizzas, but taste much better. Reservation is a must!

Small warm german restaurant where for not so much money you will have a lot! So don't be too enthousiast ordering, with one of his dishes you'll have more than enought! We orderer half platenbrood with salad and the schweimerückensteak (which also came with a big salad as a starter) and we were full! Friendly staff. If there is a lot of people it would take some time to take your order.

Been delicious meal with a customer and friend. Great food. Quaint and relaxed atmosphere. Just feel good and relax. The boss and our waitress were so friendly and understood fun and put a good mood. We were asked to wait and they would assign us a table straight away. We waited 30 minutes only to hear when we asked again that no tables were assigned without a reservation. Really outrageous and unprofessional.

Just been there. Never eaten such a combination of salad and flatbread. Top Operation perfect. Price performance cannot be beat. In the middle of Baiersbronn an innovative, personal and inviting location.

We recently dined here and unfortunately I can't share the other reviews. I have to admit that I only saw in retrospect that it is actually a beer and wine bar and not a restaurant. But that's precisely why I can't understand all the praise for the food. We had reserved for outside so I can't judge the ambience from inside. At least we sat outside squashed in the back corner right in front of a garage door that rattled all the time. So not so much and no reason to come back. The service was friendly and quick so nothing negative here. Drinks were good and there quickly. But now to the food. The rocking horse advertises flatbreads and large salads. So first of all with the salad which was nicely arranged but the yogurt dressing that was on it was extremely sweet. Normally I only know something like that in ready-made dressings but now well. There was also the "flat bread". Anyone who has ever eaten real flatbread should be able to imagine something under the term yes. Usually baked airy, crispy on the outside and sprinkled with black sesame seeds. Here it was more like a Pizza Hut pan pizza. I.e. Baked in a small pan with oil, it is very greasy. On top of that came the desired topping which was baked together with an extremely thick layer of cheese (if you want to call it that). So it was an extremely massive portion with little spice and taste. You could only taste cheese and fat. With every Italian I get a pizza that has less cheese mush and more topping and flavor. As I said vlt. The place is more for drinking, which is OK. The salads and flatbreads are definitely not a reason to eat there.

Super nice employees, comfortable atmosphere, clean, delicious food for young and old! Seldom has it been so nice and relaxing to eat with children. You actually deserved 5+, but really!

Incredibly well furnished, unfortunately only one steak on the menu, otherwise a lot of salad and flatbread. The waiters are very nice and accommodating.

Just okay, the "fladenbrot Schaukelpferd" and the salad. Not at all expecting that tasty.

Nice little, rustic furnished restaurant. The staff are very nice and friendly. The food, we had Parmalfladenkombi and Rocking Horse Fladenenkombi, was very tasty and the portion was huge. Praise to the cook. The beer on offer also ran down the throat quickly. In terms of price, it is fully in line with the food and drinks offered. 38 euros for 3 large beers and 2 huge portions of food (the two most expensive dishes on the menu) was not too much for the quality and freshness offered. I found the stay to be very pleasant. Thank you.

My friend brought me to this nice restaurant. I really liked the great atmosphere and wonderful huge salads. I really want to visit again!

In search of something edible, I came across the rocking horse. At first I was skeptical about the flatbreads on offer, but I ordered one. It was delicious and sufficient. In the variant I have never eaten it like this. You don't always have to put something in it, you can also bake it :). I'll try it myself at home.

A spontaneous decision based on the good rating was rewarded. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting and you are warmly welcomed. A reservation is recommended, however, because some people know this tip well. With the food: The flatbreads are very well made and saturate perfectly, even the half portion of flatbread with a "small side salad" (this fills 3/4 of the plate) is completely sufficient and very tasty. We would love to come back and enjoy the whole package again. Thank you for the great evening =)

Located next to hotel Falken. We had a few very nice evenings here. Great beer and food, super friendly staff and the interior ... German is almost impossible. Recommended!

Loved everything about the restaurant.

The service was a little bit late. They open till late hours,the food is good quality and they have menues in english, german and french available on demand.
